    Our hostess Anna was one of the nicest people we've ever met on our trips to Europe. She made sure we felt comfortable is this building her family has owned for over 400 years. When we casually mentioned to her that we would be leaving very early the next day, around 6:30, she provided coffee and rolls that morning. Extraordinary service that I will never forget. The room was clean, and we had easy access to come and go as we pleased. The communal room was inviting and relaxed. We felt at home. Viterbo is such a nice town. To me, it was similar to Siena. It is, however, still undiscovered by most Americans. We hope to visit again.
    I can think of nothing to complain about. I will mention that Viterbo is a college town, and many young people are up till late, doing what young people do, gathering around enjoying each others company. There is a small bar near the B&B, and many college kids hung out there in the evening. The windows of the B&B were so good, we never heard a sound. In my experience, that's a rarity in Italy.

    room as advertised. Good value and location, especially if you do NOT have a car.
    description should talk about the steps (2 steep flights to get to the room) and difficulty of parking. I will never stay anywhere that does not have reserved parking for their guests again. i found the parking situation description on the web site misleading

    directions given by the owner were difficult to follow.....it took over an hour to find the b&b once we got to the old city entrance.

    Bed & Breakfast San Pellegrino is right in the heart of the oldest quarter of the ancient medieval city. The location is magical. It's an easy walk to all the sites. Restaurants and craft shops abound. You may get lost now and then in the small, winding medieval streets - if you don't you're missing out on one of the pleasures of this very special place. Of the three available rooms, we had the largest one - and it was huge. The common room is impressive with its massive fireplace and adds to the feeling that one has stepped back in time. Anna was pleasant and helped me figure out how to play a CD I'd gotten - a small thing but a nice gesture.
    There are roof gardens everywhere in the old city but, unfortunately, being December, they were not open. This B and B, like other places we stayed in Italy, is energy conscious and has hallway lights on timers. I would like to have them stay on a little longer. The dining room setup in the common room is great for breakfast but I'd like it if there were a few cushy armchairs to relax in as well. Our large bedroom would have been big enough for an armchair or two also.

    Anna was great. She was helpful and welcoming. I would recommend this B and B to anyone going to Viterbo.

    There is a bar below that is open to 2 AM and all the young locals hang out outside talking and drinking. Disturbs the beauty of the place.
