We very much enjoyed our stay at apartment signorelli- orvieto. Staff was very helpful. Location is excellent at the centre of town. We felt very much at home and part of the community. Loved the evening strolls and ambiance of the nightlife. Shopkeepers in the area were very helpfiul and gracious. Food and wine was excellent. If you are someone who retires early in the evenings you may want to close the window shutters to minimize the noise from the streets.

Loved the appartment itself - beautiful, spacious living area, bedroom and bathroom. Small but adequate kitchen for two people. Lovely 'marbled' floors excellent for the warmer months. The old ceiling had character. The view over over the city street was always interesting. We both appreciated the lovely pictures on the walls, and the general cleanliness and freshness of the appartment.

Perhaps could have done with a few more cooking pots and more adequate crockery.

The first floor'corner' appartment received so much noise from cars, scooters and conversations in the streets below that we could hardly hear each other without shouting at times. Sometimes it was as though we actually had people in the appartment talking loudly to each other. We did get used to this eventually, and it did quieten down in the middle of the night until around 8-9 o'clock in the morning, but it was a bit of a shock to start with. Althought mention was made in the web advertisement about it having a terrace onto the street, perhaps how close to the street could be made more explicit to offset any potential disappointment from people who perhaps might think, as we did, that it would be a quieter retreat in the middle of the city - the noise was in fact quite intrusive at times. Even saying that the inhabitants will experience the "lively character of this popular city" would give more of a hint!

The apartment was very clean and well located in the centre of town. The rooms were large and airy and elegantly furnished with plenty of towels etc. Price was very good compared to other properties.

It was very noisy at night well past 1 a.m. as windows had to be left open as it was so hot in July and there was no fan or air conditioning in apartment. A fan would fix the problem so windows could be kept closed.

Also needed a microwave and more pots and pans for use in kitchen and wine glasses and perhaps a kettle to boil water. These are small problems as the apartments was very good value.
